Castor oil is known from
the era of the pharaohs. It extracted from the seeds of the castor plant
(Ricinus communis) and it’’s highly valued, because of the healing effects over
our body, in a variety of inflammatory diseases.Its benefits over our skin and hair are undeniable.
Castor oil is also used for production of bio dizel. Except healing properties,
ricin has highly toxic effect.
The most
known is its laxative effect. Besides, antibacterial properties, it also has
strong anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antiviral properties. In the past,
ancient healers had been used castor oil for recovery, after a prolonged
illness. It acts positively in warts hemorrhoids, scars, acne, wounds, eczema
etc. Castor oil is ladies’
favorite ingredient for preparation of homemade facial masks to improve skin (for
wrinkles, scars, acne, stretch marks and wounds), hair (hair loss, lack of
shine), nails (brittle), eyebrows and eyelashes.

attention is paid to the unique castor oil acid, which is a great source of vitamin A. It is an essential
ingredient in the complete hair care, skin and nails. It is also called vitamin
of the growth since stimulates them.
Side
effects
When taking castor oil, we
should be very careful, because of the toxic properties of the plant. Daily
dose for adults is one or two tablespoons of 15-30 grams. For children, older
than six years, the daily dose is one to three teaspoons. Probably you will not
like its taste. It is advisable to be diluted with honey (1:1), also it can be
added to fruit juice, coffee or other beverage. It is possible to be accepted
by direct applying on the back of the tongue.
It is not recommended
taking it often, due to the risk of addiction. It might cause nausea, vomiting
and severe colic. There are possible skin irritation due to prolonged contact
of the oil with the delicate skin around the eyes. There are potential risks of
abortion in pregnant women. Excessive stimulation of intestinal peristalsis,
may lead to uterine contractions. This is the reason why not to be taken by pregnant
women.
1.Constipation,
laxative
As a laxative for constipation, castor oil ensure quick
relief. It is a powerful stimulator of intestinal movement. The effect of
taking it occurs over a period of two to six hours. It is recommended to mix it
with lemon juice or coffee. Frequent intake is not recommended because leads to
addiction and weakening of the effect.
2.Cleansing
intestines, tapeworms
Indisputable are the
benefits of this unique product to clean intestines, especially after treating
of worms. When cleansing bowels, should be included water intake, a lot of juices, green tea. The day begins with a spoon
of olive oil extra virgin on an empty stomach. Also, you can make an enema with
olive oil and warm water. Do not do this procedure after chemotherapy.
3.Weight
loss
Castor oil is recommended
by nutritionists for stimulating weight loss, due to its ability to set in
motion the intestines. Thus, peristalsis ensure removal and disposal of all toxins out of the body, and purified lymphatic
system ensures accelerated metabolism. Its intensity determines the rate at
which fat is burned out. You can take this oil three days a week.
4.Myoma
and cysts
Castor oil is a proven remedy
for fibroids and cysts. For this purpose we apply compress. You can use woolen
cloth (only). Fold the cloth in four and place it in an enamelled saucepan,
then pour a thin stream of oil to its full irrigation. Heat the saucepan on the
oven. Apply the compress over the affected area, then place a piece of nylon
over it, wrapped in woolen scarf. On top put a heating pad ( moderate
temperature). When cools, increase the degree of the pad.
The compress must remain
on the skin for at least an hour, maximum - two hours. After its removal, treat
skin with solution of liter of water,
mixed with two tablespoons of baking soda. Dip a cotton swab into solution and
apply it over the skin. Apply the compress for four consecutive nights, followed
by a pause, lasting three days. During these 4 days, take internally a
tablespoon of olive oil extra virgin every day. Don’t throw away the compress,
keep it in a plastic bag or enameled pot with a lid. Before applying, dip the woolen
cloth with castor oil.
5.Hemorrhoids
To treat hemorrhoids with
castor oil it is good to make compresses and massages. Apply the last one for two or three a day. Leave the
compress overnight in order to have an effect. It is not recommended in bleeding hemorrhoids, and in cycle.This
product and has a preventive effect. Its
laxative effect eliminates the risk of their formation, as constipation is the
main factor for hemorrhoids.
6.Liver
One of the ways of cleansing the liver is the
usage of castor oil. Do this for three days, and during the period consume only
fruits, vegetables, tea and plenty of water. Simultaneously,
during this period, it is recommended to be taken 100 ml.high quality olive oil
(extra virgin) every day. The dose can be divided into small portions. It is
best to be diluted it with lemon juice. After the intake of olive oil, it is
better to lie down, tilted over you right side. Bend your legs at the area of
the knees. Put a heating pad or hot water bottle over the liver.
7.Wounds,
eczema
You can use castor oil
for cells regeneration and wounds. Apply the oil on the skin with a cotton swab
and rub for ten to fifteen minutes. Do this in the morning and repeat in the
evening. In eczema extremely effective is castor oil, mixed with the same
amount of coconut oil. Before applying it, consult a dermatologist.
8.Hair
loss, nourishing hair, eyelashes, eyebrows
The healing castor oil is
a veritable panacea for hair loss. It is recommended to use it twice a week as
a mask that is applied from hair roots to its end. Let this mask to stay overnight.
9.Face
- wrinkles, scars, acne
Face castor oil is used
not only for nourishment but also for daily skin cleaning. It is best combined
with olive oil extra virgin. The proportion is determined according to skin
type - oily – 2:1; dry – 1:2, normal – 1:1 in favor of castor. You can use this
elixir to clean your skin daily. It has anti-inflammatory and anti-aging effect. It may stops acne and

10.Beauty-spots, warts
To remove moles
and warts use castor oil, rubbing into the skin. Apply it twice a day, with a
gentle massage for at least fifteen minutes. The effect occurs after four
weeks.
11.Nails
Castor oil has
a beneficial effect over fragile and lack-luster nails. Oil baths with it have
an incredible effect. Do it twice a week, soaking the cleaned nails for fifteen
minutes in slightly warmed oil. It strengthens nails and stimulates their
growth.
12.Skin
The oil extract softens skin
of the hands. You can stay overnight with castor oil. ( put gloves) The warmth
of wool gloves assist in better absorption of nutritions by the skin.
13.Against stretch
marks
Castor oil removes any skin imperfections,
including stretch marks. Rub twice a day, several drops in the affected area.
Then, apply a warm compress with oil, let it stay for at least half an hour.
