What is angina?


It is acute inflammation of the tonsils caused by cold, breathing cold air or infection of the throat. In medicine, this disease is known as tonsillitis.


Angina-Symptoms

• Tonsils white coating
• Throat irritation and burning,  enlarged tonsils
• Meet problem swallowing food
• Enlarged lymph nodes in the neck, headache and vomiting
• Increase in temperature and changes in voice
• Children have breathing difficulties

Angina -Types

According to some sources, it can be divided into acute, subacute and chronic.
Others separate it into catarrhal and purulent.

Catarrhal angina is characterized by sore throat, releasing copious secretions, which may cause coughing and disrupting your sleep. Patients have a throat ache when swallowing, but not too high temperature. It is relatively easy to treat.

Purulent tonsillitis (especially in infants and older children) is manifested by fever and fatigue. Over the tonsils can be noticed small yellow or white spots. Difficulties in swallowing.


7 Home Remedies That May Cure Angina
  • Squeeze a little bit lemon juice on a cotton ball, rolled on a stick and anoint the throat in the morning, at noon and night.
  • Make salt water gargle. Put a teaspoon of salt in a glass of water and rinse the throat 3-5 times per day.
  • Boil 500 ml. of milk with a tablespoon of sage(Salvia tea) in it. Drink 250ml.  in the morning and 250 ml. in the evening.
  • Make a chamomile tea sweetened with honey and lemon
  • Mix one tablespoon full of yarrow and a tablespoon of coltsfoot, scalded in 250 ml of water.
  • Take a small piece of propolis with the size of a pea and put it under the tongue (it can stay all day there). Continued sucking relieves the pain and difficulty swallowing almost disappears.
  • If you have a fever, make an infusion of yarrow (leaves and flowers). In 600 ml. boiling water, boil two tablespoons of yarrow about 5 minutes, then strain. Drink by one cup, two hours after every meal.


Treatment of Purulent Angina

Traditional Medicine Recipes and Home Treatment of Purulent Angina
  • In a cup, stir a white of one egg with 6 teaspoons powdered sugar and squeeze one lemon. Take one teaspoon in the morning, in the afternoon and in the evening.
  • Make an Epsom salt bath. Put your feet in a basin with 200 gr. Epsom salt and hot water. Stay at least 10 minutes. Then put woolen socks and go to bed. Do not do this if you have a high temperature!!!!!
  •  Rub the tonsils with a cotton swab, soaked into an onion juice, powdered with a little bit sal ammoniac. Then do gargling with camomile.
  •  If you have chronically inflamed tonsils, every night and morning drop in each nostril two or three drops of onion juice.



Do not underestimate the sick  tonsils because  it can lead to very dangerous complications as  acute  rheumatism, arthritis, kidney disease, chorea  etc.
