Osteoarthritis
Cartilage forms protective substance toward the
end of your bones, where they are binded to the joints. When the cartilage
between the joints begins to wear out, your body tries to solve the problem by
producing bone formations (by stretching or contraction of the tendons) - this is what causes
the pain.
Osteoarthritis is an inflammation of the bones and joints, usually appearing in elderly people,
but can also be hereditary, due to injury or it may appear in obese people.
Rheumatoid arthritis
The exact cause of rheumatoid arthritis still
remains a mystery, but according to many experts it’s an inflammatory
"response" of the body, where the immune system reacts instantly to inflammatory
infections. It has the same symptoms as osteoarthritis, but makes joints swollen, fragile.
