…..One day you wake up, feeling a little more rigid
than usual, trying quickly to dispel this thought with the first cup of
coffee. Stiffness is beginning to appear every morning and eventually your
knees begin to "pop" and hurt when getting quickly out of bed.
Sometimes
your movements are more difficult and you have a single pains in the
joints. Can this be warning signs or indication of degenerative
arthritis? Well, if you are over 50, then the chances increase. But the same
applies and if you are younger and energetic. The word derives from Greek -
"arthur" (joint) and "its (inflammation).
Arthritis is
a joint disorder caused by inflammation. Symptoms
include pain and discomfort, restricting your movements. There are two main
types of diseases of the joints. Let us pay a little more attention to osteoarthritis:
Cartilage
forms a protective substance at the end of your bones, where they are
connected with the joint. When the cartilage between the joints begins to
wear out, your body tries to solve the problem by producing bone formation
(by stretching or shrinking tendons) – and it causes the typical pain.
Osteoarthritis is an inflammation of the bones and joints,
usually appearing in old age but can also be hereditary, due to injury or be
expressed in obese people.
Rheumatoid arthritis
The exact cause of rheumatoid arthritis still
remains a mystery, but according to many experts, this is an inflammatory
"response" of the body, where the immune system reacts instantly to
inflammatory infections. It has the same symptoms as osteoarthritis,
but makes the joints swollen and fragile.
Treatment and
side effects
One statistic
is particularly shocking: patients complain that one-third of their monthly
spending goes to treat stomachindispositions, caused by arthritis
medicines. That’s why we turn to alternative medicine, or treatment with
herbs, with no side effects noticed.
